Another great skier bites the dust and this time, Aksel Lund Svindal won't be able to shine on his favorite theater in Beaver Creek next February. Accidents happen, but in this case, it did in a seemingly tame way.
Of course, it's not uncommon to rupture the Achilles tendon while playing ball, but one might wonder whether it is that today's athletes are so muscular that their strength is no match for other elements in their bodies like bones and tendons that are stable and don't keep up with their surrounding muscles?
This might be possible and in of itself could become a dangerous upper-limit for fitness...
